In 1849, British-born Samuel Smith, purchased a 30 acre plot of land in Australia so he could begin a new life. He named his new land "Yalumba", which is Aboriginal for "all the land around". He and his son planted the first vines on the property, and five generations and 160 years later, Yalumba is Australia's oldest family owned winery.
Yalumba "The Y Series" Unwooded Chardonnay displays fresh aromas of pineapple, citrus fruit, and floral spice. Notes of tropical fruit on the palate are complemented by a crisp minerality and a refreshing acidity. It is best served with light chicken or pork dishes.
