Founded in 1805 by Léon Croizet, the fine connoisseur and former Sommelier to Napoleon I's High Command, Pierre Croizet is a single estate, 8th generation small, family producer that still carries his name. Pierre Croizet "Exception" XO Cognac is a remarkable spirit offering tantalizing aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg and raisin, followed by vanilla, dried fruit, black pepper and almond. The elegant and complex palate opens with flavors of toasted nuts and buttercream which lead to notes of honey, baking spice, exotic fruit and caramel. Hints of floral notes linger through the long finish.
