Hochstadter's Vatted Straight Rye Whiskey is the first vatted straight whiskey curated from hand selected straight rye whiskeys aged from 4 to 15 years from distilleries across North America including Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Alberta. The final whiskey is blended at the Hochstadter's distillery in Pennsylvania and allowed to marry in vats until it arrives at the optimal level of Harmonization.
Hochstadter's Vatted Straight Rye Whiskey is a 100 proof, Non Chill-filtered and unfiltered rye whiskey offering a robust flavor and impeccable balance, with notes of blackstrap, nutmeg, mace clove, German-Style rye bread and sour cherry on both nose and palate. The vatting process creates a smoother, more flavorful straight rye whiskey that also offers layers of complexity, and ideal for drinking straight or as a rich cocktail ingredient for classic rye based cocktails such as the Old Fashioned, Sazerac, The Manhattan and the Julep.
