The A. Edmond Dupuy & Co distillery was established in 1852, but bought by Norwegian immigrant Thomas Bache-Gabrielson in 1905, who decided to keep its Cognac tradition. Today, the company is owned and operated by his great grandson Herve, and their high quality cognacs are produced under the watchful eye of the experienced cellar master, Jean-Philippe Bergier.
The first of its kind, Bache-Gabrielsen American Oak Aged Cognac is aged in French oak barrels and then finished in authentic new American Tennessee Oak barrels for a minimum of six months.
While remaining true to the ancestral methods of the blending of the spirit, this unique eau de vie incorporates both a traditional and new approach to cognac. The resulting spirit displays a distinct character from the American oak, with delicate tropical flavors of coconut and pineapple, which blends beautifully with the French oak aromas of vanilla, cocoa and nuts.
