High Wire Distilling Co. is founded by the husband and wife team, Scott Blackwell and Ann Marshall with a simple principle: find the finest ingredients available and develop recipes using a creative, culinary approach. Located in the heart of historic downtown Charleston, SC, High Wire Distilling Company is dedicated to making premium, southern, small batch spirits using premium, specialized ingredient, local when possible but always the highest quality. Scott, a Culinary Institute of America trained baker, applies his knowledge of artisanal grains and yeasts to create well-rounded, flavorful spirits.
High Wire Distilling Co. "New Southern Revival Sorghum" Whiskey is created by distilling 100% Sorghum Syrup under 160 proof only keeping the hearts of the distillate, and rested in 15G virgin, charred oak barrels for 3-6 months. Minimal filtration is performed prior to bottling to eliminate sediment. This distinctive spirit offers complex notes of caramel, malt, cashew, vanilla and candied apple backed by lively, peat and smoke.
