A former Cellar Master at the renowned Armagnac estate of Chateau de Laubade for 22 years, Eric Artiguelongue struck out on his own and started blending Armagnac under his own label back in 2005. Working primarily with small growers and distillers with whom he has forged strong relationships with, Eric ensures consistent high quality. Over the last decade Eric has sourced and created a whole range of blends and vintages, allowing him to express all the best aromas and flavors of this exceptional appellation.
Vibrant chestnut in color, Eric Artiguelongue Bas Armagnac Vintage 1995 is crafted from 50% Ugni Blanc and 50% Baco, harvested in the year of 1995. The nose offers concentrated aromas of baked peach, cinnamon and vanilla, complemented by underlying notes of rich caramel and cocoa. The complex palate offers layers to spare with waves of flavors of apricot studded with clove and allspice, followed by a long finish with notes of grilled orange, spice and dark chocolate.
