90 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Chateau Mirefleurs is located in the territory of the Yvrac district, at the gates of Bordeaux. The estate comprises 40 hectares of vines of "noble" grape varietals planted in varied soil types, ranging from gravely clay to argillaceous sand. The planted slopes of the estate are south-facing and receive a great deal of sun. Their cellar is composed of new barrels, one-third of which are replaced every year.
Light garnet in color with touches of brick red, Chateau Mirefleurs Bordeaux Superieur offers nuanced aromas of bell peppers, black currant jelly, cloves and a hint of caramel. The palace is balanced and full-bodied with notes of earth, spice and fresh herbs enhance the fruit-forward palate, and merge with round, soft tannins on the finish.
"Ripe, full and smooth, this obviously wood-aged wine has also managed to retain its ripe fruit. It’s soft, full of acidity and black currants, with a good touch of spice to bring out the complexity of the wine. Drink from 2017." - Wine Enthusiast
