Diep9 is named after the deep 500 year-old history of genever, and the nine botanicals that are used during the distillation process. Diep9 genever is double distilled in small batches in an traditional copper pot still from rye, wheat, malted barley, and nine botanicals at Stokerij De Moor, Belgium’s smallest active grain distillery founded in 1910. Diep9 genever is bottled by hand in the traditional handcrafted clay jugs. These jugs are imbued with the charm of artisanal production, and each one is slightly different and little imperfection is expected.
The Diep9 Old Genever is barrel-aged in French oak for two years, this bright golden-colored, full bodied genever exhibits a smooth taste with malty, earthy flavors integrated with subtle aromas of vanilla, apple and juniper.
