Bodan Roan was inspired by the travel and global exposure of the wine makers. Their primary goal have been to produce straight forward, food friendly wines using high quality grapes from select vineyard sites throughout California. The wine is fermented in both stainless steel and oak barrels but for aging very little new oak is used to allow the fruit and varietal characteristics of the wine to shine through.
Matured in French oak for four months, Bodan Roan Pinot Noir offers intense aromas of raspberry and cherry, accented by a touch of earth and smoke. Balanced acidity and fine tannins lend structure to the lingering finish.
