A Piedmont classic, Cocchi Barolo Chinato was created in 1891 by Giulo Cocchi and quickly gained popularity through Italy. Originally used for medicinal purposes, it is now commonly enjoyed as an aperitif or digestif, and is also the main ingredient of traditional mulled wines. Composed entirely of Nebbiolo, this exceptional wine is spiced with a secret blend of Chine Calissaja barks, rhubarb roots, ginger and valuable cardamon seeds, among other aromatic spices. After being refined in oak for one year, Cocchi Barolo Chinato offers a balanced, harmonious aroma and complex, bittersweet flavors.
