Buy Wine from South Africa Wine Region
Wines of South Africa have been gaining popularity in the United States since the past decade or so. Mirroring the French Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) system, the wine regions of South Africa were defined under the "Wine of Origin" (Wyn van Oorsprong) act of 1973. Across the South African wine region, we can find wines in many different styles. Access to international markets has unleashed a burst of new energy and new investment and today South African red, white & rose wine can be found from various "Wine of Origin" and across price point. Some of the best South African wines production is concentrated around Cape Town, with major vineyard and production centers at Paarl, Stellenbosch and Worcester.

De Morgenzon DMZ Chardonnay Excelsior Sauvignon Blanc South African Indaba Chenin Blanc white wine with melon & citrus flavor

This remarkable Chardonnay boasts intense notes of pineapple, melon, lime, and vanilla on both the nose and palate. The lingering finish displays soft notes of grapefruit, honey, and ginger. Well-balanced with crisp acidity, this refreshing white will pair well with light pasta dishes and seafood.

Excelsior Sauvignon Blanc is crafted from hand harvested grapes for greater quality control. About 35% of the grapes are harvested very early at low sugar levels to bring prominent grassy aromas and freshness to the final blend. The wine was then cold fermented for 15 days at 12-15 degree Celsius and kept in contact with lees for three months to achieve greater fullness to the final wine, offering complex notes of passion fruit, grapefruit and ripe fig on the nose followed by a fruit forward palate with balanced acidity.

This crisp and refreshing white displays restrained yet inviting aromas of pineapple, kiwi, melon, banana, peach and honey. The palate is bright and refreshing with lengthy flavors of tropical melon, citrus and butter, while the finish introduces a hint of spice.

Refreshing and approachable, this wine extends the perfect balance between sweetness and acidity with a clean finish. Enjoy it lightly chilled and pair it with asiago cheese, smoked meats, spice rubbed lamb and spicy arrabiata.

Jam Jar Sweet White is a charming, easy-drinking wine created from 100% Muscat grape offering notes of peach, apricot, lychee and orange blossom. A lively jolt of acidity keeps it fresh and fruity. It is Fancy enough for a special occasion toast, yet sweet natured enough to enjoy every day. Pair it with pecorino and manchego cheese, citrus ceviche and white pizza with seasonal veggies.
