Although Sauvignon Blanc originates from the Loire Valley of France, it has been successfully grown in numerous wine regions throughout the world such as New Zealand and Chile and top rated Sauvignon Blanc wines can be found both in old and new world regions. Today Sauvignon Blanc wine is one of the most popular dry white wines among the wine lovers. In the French regions of Sancerre and Pouilly Fume, Sauvignon Blanc produces crisp, herbaceous wines with notes of citrus and lemongrass, balanced by a pleasant minerality. However, New Zealand and Chilean Sauvignon Blanc wines are more fruit forward, with aromas and flavors of grapefruit, green apple, melon and passion fruit, with the herbal and mineral notes emerging on the finish. Enjoy with seafood, poultry, salads and light pasta dishes.

Intensely aromatic and flavorful, this Sauvingon Blanc boasts concentrated notes of tropical fruit and green apple blended with hints of fresh herbs and minerals. Its bold fruit notes, refreshing acidity and lingering finish is an excellent match for shellfish, chicken, salads and lightly spiced dishes.

Excelsior Sauvignon Blanc is crafted from hand harvested grapes for greater quality control. About 35% of the grapes are harvested very early at low sugar levels to bring prominent grassy aromas and freshness to the final blend. The wine was then cold fermented for 15 days at 12-15 degree Celsius and kept in contact with lees for three months to achieve greater fullness to the final wine, offering complex notes of passion fruit, grapefruit and ripe fig on the nose followed by a fruit forward palate with balanced acidity.
