The 86 Co Cana Brava Panama Rum Angostura 1919 8 Year Old Blended Rum Appleton Estate Extra 12 Year Old Jamaica Rum

4 Stars / "Highly Recommended" - F. Paul Pacult's Spirits Journal
Created from sugar cane grown in the mineral-rich volcanic soil of Panama, Cana Brava is produced in the abandoned "Carta Blanca" style which inspired so many classic cocktails like the Daiquiri, El Presidente, Cuba Libre and Mojito. Cana Brava is expertly distilled at Las Cabres Distillery by Master Distiller and former Minister of Cuban Rum, Francisco "Don Pancho" J. Fernandez, then matured for three years in a combination of new, un-charred American oak and used American Whiskey barrels. The spirit was then carbon filtered and shipped to the Charbay Distillery in California where it was cut down to proof with pristine water from a well in Mendocino County. The result is a perfectly mixable light rum with complex aromas and flavors of sugar cane, citrus fruit, fresh grass, honey, coconut and molasses, complemented by notes of oak, vanilla, cacao butter and dark chocolate.

Angostura 1919 blends an array of rums to create an incredible aged spirit. After eight years of maturation, it has developed enticing aromas of caramel, toffee, chocolate, vanilla and banana with hints of flower petals and earth. The palate is creamy, smooth and equally intense. Good enough to sip and affordable enough to mix, this rum has a place in every home bar.

(96-100) Points, Best Buy - Wine Enthusiast
Aged for a minimum of twelve years in oak, Appleton Estate "Extra" is a spectacular example of Jamaican rum. This is a mature spirit with layers to spare - the nose abounds with vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, toasted walnuts and orange peel. The palate is strikingly flavorful, introducing notes of apricot, brown sugar, butter and bacon. Appleton Extra strikes an intriguing balance between the sweet and savory, settling into an intriguing complexity. For any rum enthusiast, this is a spirit best enjoyed straight.

750 milliliter bottle of Avua Prata single-sourced Brazilian cachaca Avua Amburana Cachaca 750 milliliter bottle of Bacardi 151 Puerto Rican over proof rum

Avua Prata Cachaca is a crisp, vibrant spirit which has been distilled in copper pot stills and rested in stainless steel casks for six months before being hand bottled. Distinctive notes of fresh sugarcane are complemented by delicate hints of wildflower, lemongrass and dried herbs, which add character to the classic Caipirinha as well as other excellent cocktails.

Avua Amburana Cachaca has been matured for at least twenty four months in casks made from amburana, an indigenous wood found only in the forests of Latin America. The resulting spirit offers warm, savory notes of allspice, cinnamon, vanilla and Thai basil, backed by earthy sugarcane. A hint of toasted almond emerges on the finish.

Because of it's high proof, Bacardi 151 is a great choice for most rum-based cocktails. As Bacardi 151 is highly flammable, it can (with caution!) be used in novelty drinks like the Flaming Dr. Pepper. We highly recommend that this not be consumed straight.

Bacardi 8 Rum Bacardi Anejo Rum Bacardi 1873 Solera Rum

Bacardi 8 is aged for eight years, creating a smooth and full bodied premium rum. Nuanced aromas of vanilla, toffee, caramel and honey are supported by toasted oak and bittersweet chocolate. On the palate, Bacardi 8 is luscious and rich, with notes of prunes, apricot and vanilla over a clean, woody base. The finish is long, expansive and round with lingering sweet notes of vanilla.

Bacardi Anejo is a blend of rums that have been aged for up to six years in oak barrels. This aging lends smoothness and sweet notes of vanilla and caramel. Enjoy this rum neat or on the rocks.

A world apart from Bacardi Light, 1873 Solera is a refined sipping rum. On the palate, it is smooth, silky and balanced with flavors of caramel, hazelnut, spice and cedar.

Banks 7 Golden Age Rum Barbancourt Estate Reserve 15 Year Old Rum Batavia Arrack van Oosten

Named after noted explorer and botanist Sir Joseph Banks, Banks "7 Golden Age" Rum is a unique blend of twenty-three rums from distilleries located on the islands of Barbados, Guatemala, Guyana, Jamaica, Java, Panama and Trinidad. Each rum has been aged between one and seven years in ex-bourbon barrels, then expertly combined by Masterblender Arnaud de Trabuc to create a complex, medium-bodied spirit with enticing tropical aromas and an earthy, herbal palate, which leads to a spicy, textured finish.

Unlike some rums of this age, Barbancourt Estate Reserve has benefited from every moment in barrel; it is luscious, flavorful, and remarkably smooth. Enjoy this rum as you would a fine Cognac.

From the late 17th to 19th century, in an age when "Punch" was a celebration of all things then exotic; citrus, sugar, and spice, no Punch was without a true Batavia Arrack. In pre-Prohibition America, Batavia Arrack and most notably the Swedish Punsch were essential to many now-classic cocktails.
