A to Z Wineworks Night & Day 2007 A to Z Wineworks Pinot Noir red wine from Oregon with mixed berries Purple Hands Dundee Hills Latchkey Vineyard Pinot Noir

A to Z "Night & Day" is a medium bodied blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Sangiovese, Grenache and Cabernet Franc. Aromas of mixed berries and plums deepen and gain complexity with notes of graphite, spice, tobacco and oak. The palate offers generous fruit flavors supported by a strong, ripe tannic structure and balanced acidity. A bold mineral note appears on the finish and is complemented by a hint of dark cocoa.

Clear and vibrant, this wine has a beautiful dark color and aromas of mixed berries, earth, smoke, violets, Asian spices and minerals. In the mouth, the wine mirrors the aromatics with a succulent texture and good acidity.

Purple Hands Dundee Hills "Latchkey Vineyard" Pinot Noir is created from 100% Pommard Pinot Noir clone and aged for 12 months in oak barrels (75% neutral oak, 25% new oak). The result is a balanced wine with beautiful expressions of boysenberry, cinnamon, cotton candy and cardamom aromas on the nose. The palate is silky with a fine-grained texture offering additional notes of red cherry, stone chocolate, mineral red earth, venison and gamey salt. The finish is long and delicate with hints of noble fruit undertone.
