Alvaro Palacios Camins del Priorat Aphros Vinhao Tinto Arche Montepulciano dAbruzzo

Alvaro Palacios, part of the pioneering new generation of Spanish winemakers, was born into a winemaking family. He studied oenology in Bordeaux at Chateau Petrus, and then acquired his first vineyard in 1990. Since, his wines have become critically praised and widely enjoyed. Carmins del Priorat is a blend of Carignan, Grenache, Cabernet, and Syrah; an exuberantly youthful wine, this is a red to enjoy with friends.

Fermented in temperature controlled granite tanks, Aphros "Vinhao" Tinto is created from 100% Vinhao grape. Deep, dark red in color with a violet rim, this wine offers a vivid nose of wild berry, sour cherry, cassis and sweet spice. The creamy, soft palate is aligned with the nose with mature tannins and balanced acidity with a backbone of granitic minerality.

Fermented in tanks rather than barrels, Arche' Montepulciano d'Abruzzo displays broad, bright varietal character with abundant aromas and flavors of red fruit and gentle tannins. Enjoy with pasta dishes and red meat.
