Produced in cooperation with Domaine des Ouleb Thaleb, this Syrah is vinified from the fruit of young vineyards that have been plowed and weeded by hand. While this is a fruit-forward red, it is made in an Old-World style with moderate extraction, excellent balance, and complex aromatics.
|
This is the archetype of Australian Shiraz: rich and deeply concentrated, this it possesses all the classic Barossa attributes of blueberries, dark ripe plums, and spice, framed with hints of toasty vanilla.
|
Vinified from the extremely low-yield fruit of 80-120 year old vines, this is a Shiraz of spectacular complexity and depth. Aromas of toast, cracked pepper, mocha and blueberries introduce a luscious and complex palate of blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, vanilla, chocolate and baking spices. As there are extremely small quantities of this wine available, there is a limit of one bottle per customer.

Blended from 56% Limestone Coast and 44% Langhorne Creek fruit, Heartland Shiraz embodies all the rich chocolate, dark fruit, and pepper characteristics of a true Aussie red. Following 14 months' maturation in French oak, the tannins lend subtle support to the flavor.
|
88 Points - Wine Advocate
This rich and lively sparkling Shiraz is just on the edge of dry with ripe flavors of blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, and spicy chocolate. The Red Brute would make an excellent accompaniment to a wide range of dishes, from roast duck to flourless chocolate cake.
|
This Syrah is an aromatic, rich red with a bouquet of plum, black cherry, black currant, chocolate and violet. The palate is similarly deep, with just a hint of cracked pepper.

We'll admit it: what first attracted us to Boxhead Shiraz was the label. But upon tasting this Aussie red, we were pleasantly surprised that the juice lived up to the bottle. This is a lush, ripe, full-bodied example of a solid South Australian Shiraz. Playful, fun, and balanced, the ripe raspberry, blackberry, plum, and peppery spice make this a great pairing for burgers and pizza.
|
91 Points - Wine Advocate Cimicky "Trumps" Shiraz is an excellent value red, great for pairing with grilled vegetables. It displays aromas of smoke, blueberry, plum, and earth. The palate is ripe, spicy, and sippable with flavors of plum, blueberry and blackberry.
|
This terrific Syrah is full and flavorful: rich red fruit and well-balanced oak from three months of ageing make this perfect for rich meat dishes, but the tannins are just soft enough to make this a great wine to sip solo. The "1707" Syrah is unbeatable for the price.

The Brookside Vineyard is located
between the Carneros and Mt.
Veeder appellations. The
maritime influences in this area are said to produce the correct conditions for
Syrah to excel. A bouquet of dried herbs and flowers leads to ripe flavors of
boysenberry and wild blackberry. Crisp notes of pepper and mineral complement
the long, satisfying finish.
|
Nederburg
Winemaster's Reserve Shiraz is the product of a winemaking tradition
dating back to 1791. Rich and velvety in texture, and with excellent
tannic structure, this red is ripe with plum, black berry, and spicy
oak aromas and flavors.
|
Paul Jaboulet has owned vineyards in the Rhone Valley since 1834, and Le Grand Pompee demonstrates the potential of this estate. Full and fruit-forward, its palate is ripe with raspberry, blackberry, and plum complemented by a dash of cracked pepper.
