This crystal clear absinthe has a creamy white louche with beautiful blue tones throughout. Slighty lower levels of anise allows this to be a subtle yet complex spirit with rich flavors of herbs, citrus fruits, and baking spices. With 58% alcohol, this is an easy drinking absinthe that can be paired with different entrees. Edward III has no added sugar or coloring and is made with 100% organic ingredients. Enjoy!

Starting with an aromatic eau-de-vie base, Leopold Bros. Absinthe Verte is handcrafted in Colorado using a copper pot still and an array of traditional and proprietary European botanicals. The vibrant color is derived from Hyssop, Melissa and Roman Wormwood, which also contribute floral and citrus notes. The slow addition of one part absinthe to at least three parts water results in an opaque, milky white louche.

These botanicals--Grande Wormwood, Anise, Fennel, Angelica, Iris, Petite Wormwood, and Melissa--lend color, complex flavor, and a beautiful, opalescent louche.

Though distilled in Washington State, Pacifique Absinthe Verte Superieur is carefully crafted in exact accordance with an 1855 French recipe and distillation process. Pacifique is made with the finest spirits and organic botanicals available, accurately representing the style of fine absinthe available in 19th Century France. Using a hand-hammered copper pot still, Pacifique begins with all-grain spirits; this pure base allows each botanical to show its complexity and character.

Vieux Carre is batch-distilled using a double maceration process. Using a range of natural botanicals--including Grande Wormwood, Petite Wormwood, green anise, star anise, Fennel Doux Provence, melissa, genepi, hyssop, coriander, lemon balm, and spearmint--Vieux Carre's mossy hue is both lovely and completely natural. This is an intriguingly complex spirit with a rich, opalescent louche; varying proportions of water to absinthe will result in subtle changes in the aroma and flavor profiles. As Vieux Carre is made with real herbs, some sedimentation is normal; this is a sign of a well-made absinthe. Note: glass and spoon not included.
