From the late 17th to 19th century, in an age when "Punch" was a celebration of all things then exotic; citrus, sugar, and spice, no Punch was without a true Batavia Arrack. In pre-Prohibition America, Batavia Arrack and most notably the Swedish Punsch were essential to many now-classic cocktails.

10 Cane is a luxury rum created from the first pressing of virgin Trinidadian sugar cane, not molasses. Light, smooth, and wonderfully aromatic, 10 Cane is distilled in small batches in French pot stills and then aged in French oak barrels.
|
This full-bodied and complex spirit is blended from rums at least 21 years old. The rich color, inviting aromas and excellent taste are influenced by maturation in 45 gallon oak casks located in the ideal climate for rum maturation.

Pyrat XO Reserve, a blend of 15 year old Caribbean rums, is expertly crafted for complexity and richness. This rum has a rich amber color and layered aromas of caramel, honey, molasses and orange peel. The palate is delicate, almost sweet, spicy, and smooth.

Comforting aromas of vanilla, molasses, caramel, maple, jasmine and ginger introduce a palate that is equally rich with just a hint of sweet spices. The finish is lightly honeyed and surprisingly lengthy. This rum is a delight to sip straight or poured over ice, and while it will certainly elevate any rum-based cocktail, it seems a shame to dilute it.

This is a rich and extremely dark rum that is a rich, deep amber color when poured. While pleasantly aromatic, Gosling's Black Seal really distinguishes itself on the palate. Full-bodied and textured, it has delightfully full rummy flavors of vanilla, molasses, caramel and toast.

Vizcaya VXOP is distilled from sugar cane juice and aged in bourbon and whiskey barrels. This is an intensely spicy rum, displaying aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger. The palate is similarly rich with sweet spiciness, and also displays notes of honey, vanilla and caramel.

The rested but unaged Neisson white rum beautifully showcases the characteristics of the fragrant and flavorful sugar cane. It received the 2006 Gold Medal at the Ministry of Rum Tasting Competition, and was named White Spirit of the Year for 2005 in Wine Enthusiast.
