Composed of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, Anne Pichon "Gris Montagne" is a light, elegant rose with a delicate floral nose and vibrant berry notes on the palate. A subtle spiciness emerges on the refreshing finish.

Chateau de Manissy Cotes du Rhone is an elegant blend of grenache, clairette and cinsault which have been fermented together and matured in wooden vats. An assertive nose of blackberry, cassis, dried flowers and fresh pine needles leads to a powerful palate offering a complex array of dark fruit and spice notes with well concentrated flavors with plenty of midpalate density. Structured tannins and bold acidity merge with earthy herbal notes on the medium, spicy finish.

A candidate for the wine of the vintage, the 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve exhibits an opaque purple color, peppery, spicy, earthy notes, full-bodied intensity, and outstanding concentration, purity, and length. It is another sensational wine, but finding a few bottles will be difficult given the microscopic production. It should drink nicely for 20+ years, atypically long for a 2006.

Composed of 70% Chardonnay, 25% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Muscat, Domaine Isle Saint Pierre Bouches-du-Rhone Blanc is Fresh, fleshy and floral offering bright notes of citrus fruit backed by hints of pear and green apple. This wine pairs well with white fish as well as dishes with asparagus or other delicate, green vegetables.


Domaine Lafond Roc-Epine Cotes du Rhone is a concentrated, meaty, and focused red composed of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. According to the winery, the vines--planted around 1880 after the phylloxera epidemic--are the oldest still producing in the world. This wine is a stunning value; the nose and palate really deliver with bold-yet-balanced notes of cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, raspberry, and earthy bramble.


This medium bodied Syrah offers rich, layered notes of cassis and blackberry complemented by hints of pepper and smoke. Bold flavors, smooth tannins and balanced acidity culminate in a complex, lingering finish.

The Gigondas of Domaine Raspail-Ay is an artful blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre that is ripe, generous, and rich on the palate. The wine offers mouthful of ripe, dark fruits black cherries, cassis and raspberries with notes of licorice and black pepper on the back palate. The tannins are ripe and supple, mellowed by 20 months or more in large, ancient oak foudres. In addition, the wine is aged for several months in old demi-muids in the ground-level storage rooms (chais). The resulting wine is complex with ripe, dark fruit aromas, juicy acidity accompanied by a supple, rich texture with long, attractively perfumed finish.

An elegant blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Syrah, E. Guigal Cotes du Rhone Rose offers an expressive nose brimming with fresh notes of raspberry, cherry and citrus fruit. The palate is firm and focused, with bright fruit notes complemented by hints of tobacco and earth. A light mineral note emerges on the intriguing finish.

Intense cherry-red in color, Ferraton Pere & Fils Crozes-Hermitage "La Matiniere" is crafted from 100% Syrah, offering notes of red fruit and black current on the nose. The full-bodied, well rounded palate opens with aromas of ripe red fruit followed by allspice and herbal undertone with smooth, restrained tannins. The finish is long and smooth with a very soft savory licorice edge.

A renowned importer of French wines for more than 30 years, Kermit Lynch now offers several wines under private label. This is a great value blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mouvedre with pleasant flavors of black plum and oak.

Le Prince du Logis "Reserve Vieilles Vignes" Chateauneuf du Pape is made from 43% Syrah, 26% Mourvedre, 21% Grenache and 10% Counoise, all from 30-50 year old vines and fermented with natural yeasts and aged in 25% partly new oak barrels and 75% cement tank for nine months. Robust and spicy, this Chateauneuf du Pape offers rustic cherry, dark fruit aromas and bold notes of red licorice spice. The complex, full-bodied palate offers
great concentration and intensity, with flavors of black pepper, raspberries and clove, finishing with pleasant, elegant tannins.

Deep intensive red in color, Les Dauphins Cotes du Rhone Reserve offers an assertive nose of ripe fruit, sweet spice with hint of black currant which leads to a elegant palate offering a complex array of dark fruit and spice notes. Soft tannins and balanced acidity merge with earthy herbal notes on the long, spicy finish.
