Buy Argentine Wines At DrinkUpNY!

While Argentina is mostly known for their Malbec, other noted Argentinian wines are composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda, Torrontes and other varietals. The Mendoza Province is the largest wine producing area in South America and provides the ideal growing conditions for this wide variety of grapes. Mendoza wines benefit from the high altitude and mountain climate of these vineyards and are typically rich, fruit-forward and aromatic.

Bodegas Cava del 23 Beviam Tocai Bodegas Renacer Punto Final Malbec Cavas del 23 Imperio de Sentidos Sauvignonasse

Beviam Tocai has pronounced notes of grapefruit, lemon, and pineapple on both the nose and palate. Medium bodied with  balanced acidity, this refreshing white will pair well with seafood.

Punto Final Malbec comes from vines more than 50 years old whose production is less than 8 tons per acre, resulting in concentrated and flavorful fruit. This wine is unfiltered in order to preserve its distinct varietals qualities.

Made from the unusual Sauvignonasse grape, Imperio de Sentidos is strikingly complex on both the nose and palate with fresh notes of wildflower, cedar, baking spice, and white fruit. This would be a treat at twice the price.

Dominio del Plata Crios de Susana Balbo Torrontes Enrique Foster Ique Malbec Enrique Foster Raleo Malbec

While Torrontes is Argentina’s most widely planted grape, it’s rare for a winery to get it exactly right. This is an intensely aromatic white with enticing notes of rose petal, honey, peach, pear, grapefruit, and spice.

Composed of 100% Malbec, this young, fruit-forward wine offers aromas and flavors of ripe berry. Balanced with a firm structure, it exhibits soft tannins and satisfying finish. An excellent companion for red meat, pasta, and cheese.

On the nose, Enrique Foster "Raleo" Malbec offers lovely floral notes of lilac and rose, complemented by ripe fruit, spice and earth. Rich flavors of blackberry and dark cherry appear on the palate, merging with layered notes of cedar, spice and fresh herbs which linger through the finish.
