Artemisia-Bugnon Distillery "Butterfly" Classic Absinthe Artemisia Bugnon Distillery La Clandestine Absinthe Superieure Corsair Red Absinthe Superieure

Created more than 100 years ago for American consumers who may have been looking for a slightly more accessible taste profile, Butterfly adds citrus and mint notes to the flavors of anise and fennel and the slight bitterness of wormwood, and this flavor marriage makes it a perfect absinthe for the classic drip serve, while it is also especially suitable in “digestive” cocktails and in those with a fruit base.

Absinthe d'Or, Switzerland 2006
Medaille d'Or Forum Romand des Eaux-de-Vie, Switzerland 2006 - 2007
Distiswiss Gold Medal, Switzerland 2007
A testament to mastery of his craft, La Clandestine's distiller has been awarded five consecutive Golden Spoon Awards at the Pontarlier Absinthiades. This absinthe turns a beautiful milky white when water is added, and marries the rich flavor of anise and fennel with the slight bitterness of wormwood. Several local botanicals add additional aromatics to this refreshing spirit. Its delicate complexity makes this absinthe ideal for enjoying with chilled water and mixed in classic cocktails.

Corsair Red Absinthe is a unique interpretation of the spirit, combining a traditional absinthe recipe with unconventional ingredients like citrus, tarragon and red Hibiscus flowers. When water is added, Corsair Red develops a lovely pink-hued pearlescent louche and offers pronounced floral aromas backed by anise, fennel, citrus and spice. The Hibiscus flowers are very apparent on the palate, lending bittersweet floral notes which are complemented by tangy citrus fruit, grassy herbal notes and a delicate spiciness. Although certainly not a traditional absinthe, Corsair Red is a distinctive expression that will also add a unique element to both classic and modern cocktails.

Following the louche, Duplais' complex herbal aromatics unfurl slowly, revealing themselves as lifted wormwood, fennel, and spice. The palate is textured, rich, and creamy with substantial fennel and wormwood flavors. This is a powerful yet controlled spirit that achieves impeccable balance.

94 Points - Wine Enthusiast
5 Stars / "Highest Recommendation" - F. Paul Pacult's Spirit Journal
Double Gold Medal, Best in Class - San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2008
Vieux Pontarlier's aromas evolve after pouring, starting with bright anise and developing heady alpine herb notes with savory, lightly mentholated hints of wormwood. The initial taste is intense and spicily piquant, with round, herbal flavors cradling the wormwood and a long, refreshing, cooling finish of anise and fennel seed.

Germain-Robin Absinthe Superieure is slightly spicy on the nose, with pronounced notes of star anise that are complemented by light notes of citrus and honey. Light and smooth on the palate, a subtle sweetness gives way to a refreshing cooling sensation, especially noticeable on the finish. Unique and complex, this remarkable absinthe is definitely an interesting experience!

Jade Liqueurs Nouvelle Orleans Absinthe Superieure Jade 1901 Absinthe Kubler 53 Swiss Absinthe Superieure

Featured on The History Channel (Modern Marvels)
Winner – Absinthe of the World (Germany)
Silver Medal - International Wines & Spirits Competition (London)
From New Orleans native and master absinthe distiller T.A. Breaux, comes Jade Liqueurs "Nouvelle-Orleans" Absinthe Superieure, an absinthe rooted in the heritage that made the Sazerac cocktail and the absinthe frappe famous. Nouvelle-Orleans Absinthe presents the connoisseur with a unique perfume and texture that disappeared almost a century ago. Created in France by T.A. Breaux, this premium absinthe is distilled using 130 year-old copper absinthe stills in accordance to the most demanding original ‘Swiss Method’, including French eau de vie, only the finest whole botanicals, and never any artificial colorants or commercial flavorings.

Jade 1901 Absinthe Supérieure represents the second release from Jade Liqueurs that was carefully reverse engineered from sealed antique bottles of one notable brand of the original spirit, several intact examples of which remain in the Jade Liqueurs archive. Jade 1901 Absinthe Supérieure was recreated as a tribute to a widely studied pre-ban absinthe, as it appeared circa 1901. During the heyday of its existence, the orginal brand was an object of worldwide export, and was widely considered as a top-tier example of the category. Jade 1901 Absinthe Supérieure is a classic vintage-style absinthe, balanced and crisp, with a stimulating herbal aroma and a smooth, lingering aftertaste that recalls the splendor of the Parisian cafés during the Belle Époque.

Absinthe was banned in the United States for nearly a century, and Kubler is the first genuine Swiss absinthe to be released in the U.S. market since. Artemisia Absinthium--more commonly know as wormwood--is the primary ingredient in a formula that also includes coriander, mint, anise and fennel among other herbs and botanicals.

La Fee Absinthe Blanche La Fee Absinthe Parisienne Letherbee Distillers "Charred Oak" Absinthe Brun

The crystal clear La Fee Absinthe Blanche offers a more pronounced fennel character with less anise. La Fee's botanicals contain all of the traditional components of a fine absinthe: grand wormwood, petite wormwood, fennel seed, green anise, star anise, hyssop, lemon balm, mint mentha and coriander seed. Careful maceration during copper pot still distillation ensures abundant aromas, concentrated flavor, and an attractive chalky white louche. The nose offers fresh clean anise with fennel and liquorice. The palate is clean with pronounced anise and subtle herbal influence.

Gold Medal - LA International Wine & Spirits Competition 2009
Gold Medal – San Francisco World Spirits Competition, 2008
Gold Medal – Beverage Testing Institute, 2007

La Fee is also the only absinthe authenticated by the Musee de l'Absinthe in Auvers-sur-Oise, France.

A very rare barrel-aged Absinthe, the Letherbee is aged for six months in new charred-oak barrels. The base grain neutral spirit was re-distilled with grand wormwood and a variety of aromatic herbs and spices. The blanche absinthe draws its caramel hue from a six-month stint in the barrel. Besides the color, the full-sized barrels also imbue the Absinthe Brun with toasty hints of vanilla and caramel. The aging process softened the anise notes to let sumptuous floral and spice layers to resonate. The complex herbal aroma lingers on the palate long after the last sip.
