Absinthe d'Or, Switzerland 2006
Medaille d'Or Forum Romand des Eaux-de-Vie, Switzerland 2006 - 2007
Distiswiss Gold Medal, Switzerland 2007
A testament to mastery of his craft, La Clandestine's distiller has been awarded five consecutive Golden Spoon Awards at the Pontarlier Absinthiades. This absinthe turns a beautiful milky white when water is added, and marries the rich flavor of anise and fennel with the slight bitterness of wormwood. Several local botanicals add additional aromatics to this refreshing spirit. Its delicate complexity makes this absinthe ideal for enjoying with chilled water and mixed in classic cocktails.

Duplais Swiss Absinthe Verte is created with wormwood and other botanicals, which are locally sourced and grown on a Swiss plantation reserved exclusively for the finest pharmaceutical-grade herbs. The distillate is reduced to final strength using spring water from the Alps. The chlorophyll from aromatic plants, which are infused in the distillate after distillation, naturally colors Duplais Swiss Absinthe Verte. As a naturally colored product, Duplais will experience some color changes as the chlorophyll oxidizes over time and will eventually achieve the legendary "dead leaf" color, a telling characteristic of the finest vintage absinthes. In the glass, Duplais has a unique golden green hue. The slow-forming louche results in a thick, almost opaque golden green with amber highlights. Following the louche, the complex herbal aromatics unfurl slowly, revealing themselves as lifted wormwood, fennel, and spice. The palate is textured, rich, and creamy with substanial fennel and wormwood flavors. This is a powerful yet controlled spirit that achieves impeccable balance.

Absinthe has been banned in the United States since 1912. Kubler is the first genuine Swiss absinthe to be sold in this country in nearly 100 years. It comes from the Val-de-Travers where absinthe was invented in the late 19th century, and it is produced according to its original formula. Kubler 53 is distilled with herbs grown in the Val-de-Travers. Artemisia Absinthium--more commonly know as wormwood--is the primary ingredient in a formula that also includes coriander, mint, anise and fennel among other herbs and botanicals.

Mansinthe Extrait dAbsinthe Suisse

Gold Medal - San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2008
Created by master distiller Olivier Matter and Marilyn Manson, Mansinthe is an unusual absinthe of compelling complexity. It is a vibrant natural green with light blue reflections in the glass, and the slow-forming louche is opaque and opalescent. Musky, earthy aromas of alpine herbs and flowers introduce a rounded, savory, buttery palate with a refreshing and lasting finish.
