In 1849, British-born Samuel Smith, purchased a 30 acre plot of land in Australia so he could begin a new life. He named his new land "Yalumba", which is Aboriginal for "all the land around". He and his son planted the first vines on the property, and five generations and 160 years later, Yalumba is Australia's oldest family owned winery.
This vibrant crimson Shiraz-Viognier boasts aromas of blueberry and violet with a hint of ground spice. Medium-bodied with ample red berry flavors, supple tannins and a pleasant acidity, this is an excellent pairing for roasted or grilled red meat.
