Samuel Smith founded Yalumba in 1853 with the fruit of vines he started planting in 1849 at his Angaston winery. The production of fortified wines has always been part of Yalumba's legacy. Today, Yalumba continues to maintain its reputation for premium quality fortified wines by occasionally releasing very small parcels of show reserve stocks.
Crafted from original old vine Shiraz, Grenache, Dolcetto, Mourvèdre, Muscadelle and a small percentage of Touriga, Tinta Cao and Tinta Molle, Yalumba Museum Reserve 21 Year Old Tawny Port is a complex blend that notches up the power and concentration with a pronounced nutty character that persists throughout but balanced by layers of dark toffee, caramel, molasses, candied fruits and honey. The finish is long and balanced with persistent aftertaste of honey, dried fruits and caramel.
