Made from top-quality rye cultivated in the foothills of central Switzerland, the grain is fermented and then distilled in a three step process: first, in a small copper alembic pot still, then in a small copper column still, and then once more for even greater purity. This uniquely labor-intensive process allows for a uniquely flavorful vodka with all the smoothness you could hope for. Described in Wine Enthusiast as "one of the three or four over-$30 super-premium vodkas actually worth the price tag," it has a subtle yet spectacularly complex bouquet of lavender, sea moss, and slate with a subtle hint of cherry.
