Established in 1921, Foucher-Lebrun is a "Petit Negociant" specializing in wines from the Loire Valley. Their mission is to convey the expression of the appellations in the Loire region by careful selection, vinification and aging of its wines. Their second label, Chais St. Laurent, hails from the villages of Riviere, Beaumont-en-Veron and Savigny-en-Veron, where the soils are a mix of Argilo-Calcaire and gravel. "Vigne en Veron" Chinon is a fresh, lively Cabernet Franc with an elegant nose of red berries, violets and wild herbs. The bright, fruit-forward palate offers lovely floral notes backed by raspberry, cassis and a touch of pepper. Hints of tobacco appear on the lingering finish.
