Established in 1999 by Justin and Liz Wylie, Va Piano Vineyards is inspired by the old world charm of Tuscany, but their wines are classic examples of what Washington State has to offer. While Va Piano is mostly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, it has been blended with Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot and aged for 23 months in 50% new French oak in order to add more complexity and depth to the wine. The nose offers aromas of black currant, spice box, olive and herbs, while the palate offers plenty of ripe fruit, refined tannins, excellent volume and savory notes on the finish. Enjoy now or cellar it for 5 - 6 years and drink it from 2015 to 2027.
