The Martinez

Many consider the Martinez to be the Martini's direct predecessor. This is a drier version of classic, though the Maraschino Liqueur adds a hint of sugar along with layers of additional complexity.

1.5 oz. DH Krahn Gin
1.5 oz. Noilly Prat "Original French Dry" Vermouth
2 dashes Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
1 dash The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters

Stir with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
