Warwick Estate was established in 1771 under the name "De Goede Sukses". After the Angelo Boer war in 1902, Colonel William Alexander Gordon, Commanding Officer of the Warwickshire regiment bought the estate and renamed it "Warwick" as a tribute to his regiment. Warwick changed hands again in 1964 when Stan Ratcliffe purchased the property after an extensive search for the best terrior in the Cape. Today the winery is still owned and operated by the Ratcliffe family and is involved in many aspects of the South African and global wine industry.

Warwick Estate "The First Lady" is a vibrant, fruit-forward Cabernet Sauvignon with brambly blackberry and raspberry fruit on the nose, accented by hints of dried herbs, sweet vanilla and tobacco. The medium-bodied palate offers dusty tannins, ripe black fruit and a smooth, harmonious finish with a savory edge. Enjoy though 2015.
