Description   The Aviation Cocktail The earliest versions of the Aviation included Creme de Violette, lending a distinctive flavor and the dusty purple color of the sky at dusk. Due to the rarity of this ingredient, however, later mixologists were forced to adapt without this critical component. While we recommend experimenting with proportions to find the balance of maraschino, creme de violette and lemon juice that you prefer, this is a great place to start. House Spirits "Aviation" Gin .5 oz. fresh lemon juice* .5 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur .25 oz. Rothman & Winter Creme de Violette Liqueur Stir with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. *While this probably goes without saying, fresh lemon juice is not included.
