Established in 1839, The Dalmore Distillery is located on the northern shores of the Firth of Cromarty, deep in the Scottish Highlands. For almost a century the distillery was owned by the Clan Mackenzie whose influence is still evident to this day - the iconic royal stag's antlers, taken from the Mackenzie family crest, adorn every bottle of The Dalmore.
The Dalmore 15 Year Old was first matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks for twelve years, then a three year finish in three different sherry woods - Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem oloroso producing a robust, yet elegant spirit. A complex nose of chocolate orange, potpourri, almond and sherry leads to a rich, medium bodied palate with layered notes of zesty orange, winter spice, chocolate, ginger syrup and anise. Subtle hints of malted barley and smoky espresso complement flavors of coriander and white pepper on the lingering finish.
