Terredora Di Paolo is a 494 acres of privately owned vineyards in the best sites of the Avellino province. They are one of the largest wineries in southern Italy. The wines here exhibit a distinctive personality due to its unique micro climate. The altitude at which the vineyards are found, the soil and the thermal fluctuations develop wines that are intense, elegant and offers complex bouquet of aromas. Great care has been taken in the vineyards and wine cellars to ensure that the traditions and history of the winemaking in this region is honored. Since its establishment in 1978, Terredora di Paolo has focused on rediscovering and restoring Campaniaís ancient and native varietals such as Aglianico, Fiano, Greco and Falanghina. These varietals are key players that have brought about Campanianís wine renaissance.
Terredora di Paolo Aglianico is crafted from 100% Aglianico grown on a vineyard where the soil type is primarily calcareous clay. The wine is partly aged in stainless steel and part in small barrels for six months before returning to stainless steel tanks. This ruby red colored wine with violet reflections, offers bold aromas of black cherry, wild berry and plum fruit with a spicy, toasted overtone. The palate is soft and elegant, with supple acidity and gentle tannins. Notes of mature red fruits lingers through the long finish. Ideal pair for soups, cold cuts, white and red meats, roasts and mature cheeses.
