Located in eastern Piemonte's Colli Tortonesi region, the Terralba estate was established in the early 1900s by the Vincenzo Daffonchio. He bought the three hectare property from Count Boniforte Busseti, then planted two hectares of Barbera, Timorasso and Croatina. Today, the property is owned and operated by his great-grandson Stefano, who has greatly expanded the vineyards, but still continues to cultivate Italy's hidden regional varietals.

Terralba "La Vetta" is composed entirely of Moradella, one of Piedmont's oldest grape varieties which was commonly blended with other varietals. Both the nose and palate offer expressive notes of blackberry, plum and cherry, complemented by bold acidity, firm tannins and a long, earthy finish.
