St. George Single Malt Whiskey begins with two-row barley, which is roasted and smoked to bring out the character of the grain - various roast levels imparts rich, distinctive aromas, while smoking over beech and alder adds depth and complexity. The nose opens with youthful aromas of candied fruit, orange blossom, jasmine and spice, backed by a note of honeyed malt. Maturation in a variety of different barrels lends notes of dried fruit, walnut, cocoa, hazelnut, cinnamon, clove and orange peel, which merge with a touch of smoke on the elegant finish.
