Smugglers’ Notch Distillery is a father/son partnership in Jeffersonville, VT. The distillery, founded in 2006 at the foot of the famed Smugglers’ Notch, site of many a clandestine bootlegger’s run through this rugged Vermont mountain pass, opened its doors to the public in 2010. Using the finest ingredients blended with pristine Vermont spring water, Jeremy Elliott, a research chemist by trade, and Ron Elliott, with an extensive corporate business background, make and hand-bottle remarkably distinctive, award winning hand-crafted spirits one small batch at a time.
Smugglers’ Notch Vodka combines winter wheat and corn with Mount Mansfield’s spring water to produce a clean, subtle, yet flavorful spirit that offers vibrant notes of citrus, tropical spice and hint of sweetness on the palate.
