In 1784 Christopher Smith, Member of the British Parliament and Lord Mayor of London, founded a small company to transport Port wine from the Douro to the rest of Europe. Later on he was joined by the Woodhouse brothers as his business grew. Through the last two hundred years, Smith Woodhouse has built a reputation for outstanding Vintage Ports and have won numerous awards for their quality products.

Matured for 14 years, the Smith Woodhouse Colheita Tawny Port 1994 is elegant and structured with rich notes of ripe red fruit, toasted almond and walnut, complemented by a hint of oak. The full, structured palate offers firm tannins, balanced acidity and a dry, lengthy finish.
