from Hillsboro, OR United States
There are many orange liqueurs that claim to be Curacao. The difference is that unless they are using Lahara fruit from Curacao itself, they are either blue-colored Triple-Sec, or using bitter oranges from other parts of the globe. For example some Curacaos are made with citrus x aurantium amara, which are commonly used with Grand Marnier. It still isn't the same soil as what's on the island of Curacao.
The taste is immediately noticeable to be heavier than other Curacaos, a strong orange flavor that isn't too sugary - without being unpleasant. Senior's distillation process allows you to also savor the grain neutral spirit they use, essentially giving you a two-in-one liqueur.
And that is why I'm paying $16 for shipping alone to get it to Oregon - you can't find the genuine article here.
