Brothers Aldo and Riccardo Seghesio established their winery in the township of Monforte and began bottling wine from their ten hectares in the La Villa cru in 1988. Dedicated to producing natural, high quality wines, the estate takes part in the 2078/92 EU regulation, which aims to encourage environment-friendly farming methods and improve the preservation of natural resources in rural areas.

Seghesio Barolo is big, concentrated and structured with a fresh, fruit-driven personality and a velvety texture. The nose offers inviting notes of crushed cherry, plum and dried rose petal which carry through to the smooth, complex palate. Underlying earthy notes of licorice, dried mushroom and tobacco complement balanced acidity, sweet tannins and a long, persistent finish.
