Born in Bologna seventy years ago, Silvano Samaroli has been selecting and bottling the world's finest whiskies since 1968. At this time, he was the only non-British or non-Scottish person doing this type of work, but he soon gained recognition for his exceptional selections.

Established in 1810, Glenburgie is a relatively obscure distillery which produces malt whisky used almost exclusively in blends. Bottlings from this distillery are quite rare, but Samaroli was able to obtain a limited amount of this exceptional whisky. Distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2011, Samaroli Coilltean Glenburgie Single Malt is a delicate, refined spirit with rich, textured notes of grain, fresh herbs, vanilla and caramel enhanced by a light touch of sea salt. Only 330 bottles produced.
