Crafted in the small village of San Luis Del Rio, "Vida" is Del Maguey's way of providing high quality mezcal at a more affordable price. On the nose, Vida boasts bold aromas of fruit and honey backed by roasted agave and a hint of vanilla. Vibrant notes of ginger, cinnamon, banana, and tangerine on the palate soften on the long finish.
Pierde Almas, meaning "lost souls", is high quality, small batch mezcal produced in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca. Pierde Almas Pechuga is created by distilling their Espadin mezcal a third time during the month of November. In the still, the double distilled Espadin is blended with an assortment of wild fruits, herbs and nuts such as apples, pineapples, almonds, pecans, citric blossoms and anise. Next, a whole turkey breast (the only change to the original recipe, which calls for a chicken breast) is suspended in the atmosphere in the still, and the third distillation is ready to begin. The vapor passes over the pechuga and condenses into a crystal clear liquid that has an amazing smoothness and taste. This unique process results in an incredibly complex spirit that offers layered flavors of fruit and herbs, while still retaining the original character of the agave.
Siembra Azul Reposado is clean and crisp with complex aromas of cinnamon, oak, and nectar. Pronounced flavors of allspice, citrus fruit, and ginger on the palate lead to a smooth, slightly sweet finish.
This anejo makes an excellent cocktail but is certainly remarkable on it's own. Pronounced aromas and flavors of citrus fruit blend with rich notes of cinnamon, coconut, and vanilla.
