Grapes sourced from two of their estate vineyards in Monterey County, Ryder Estate Monterey Sauvignon Blanc displays grassy and citrus traits to the wine. The grapes were gently whole-cluster pressed, chilled and lightly settled before being transferred to stainless steel tanks for a slow fermentation in cool temperature to enhance the varietal aromatics. The neutral environment of the Stainless steel tanks accentuate the wine’s crisp, zesty qualities and retain its distinctive freshness. A small amount of Semillon was added to the final blend to add body and texture. The resulting wine offers a fragrant, ripe melon aroma. The lively and zesty palate exhibits delightful exotic overtones of citrus and grapefruit that lead into a crisp, refreshing finish.
