Bodega Ruca Malen is named after a local legend about a young girl that fell in love with a god. He had to leave but offered her a home, along with a nectar she could drink that would revive all the happiness she felt when the god's gaze fell upon her. The French winemakers that founded the winery in 1998 were quite taken with the story and wished to incorporate it into their business. The result is Ruca Malen wines: a blend of Argentine tradition with expert French winemaking skills. Their Petit Verdot is bursting with vibrant notes of fresh cherry, plum, and raspberry that are complemented by hints of caramel, vanilla, and mocha. Balanced and harmonious, this velvety red displays sweet, pleasant tannins, mouthwatering acidity, and a lingering finish.
