Well, Ron, I drink about as often as you do (which is rarely these days) but I have to say that, after tasting this, I was surprised. No, it did not taste like Hedgehog (which thousands of women have tasted)...it tasted remarkably good! So thanks, Ron...it is your fault that I now and then have a rum & coke. Seriously: good stuff!

Bought 4 bottles for the novelty to give three friends and try myself. Gave the first two away and after I opened my keeper the last bottle stayed with me. It's a smooth Rum. Great with a mixer and not bad neat. Everyone I've had try it agrees it's good.

...It's pretty decent rum. Oaky, mellowed, some nice spices going on. Will make a decent sipper or mixer. Not very viscous like the Zayas or Zacapas, but fairly flavorful and not overly sweet. Compared to my 8 year Bacardi, which is actually tasty stuff, Ron de Jeremy 7 year is a step above in boldness and flavor - definitely a lot more going on than the Bacardi ($25), BUT at $30 a bottle (initial launch price) if I had a choice between this and other rums in the $30 category, I'd instantly gravitate towards my go-to rum Zaya for $24.99. Definitely worth a purchase though. Ignoring other AAA rums already etched in my spoiled head, Ron de Jeremy holds it's own and I've moved past the jokes, and give it a worthy nod and new home on my bar's personal 'sipping' shelf. Pick up a bottle first and foremost for the quality, and second for the novelty factor. IF the price drops, pick up 2 bottles! I should probably have breakfast now...

I'll admit, the novelty factor of this rum caught my eye, but I do seriously enjoy fine rum as well, so I rolled the dice and gave it a shot. Just received my order today, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Very good sipping straight up, with just the slightest slash of water to help open it up - I probably won't use this for mixed drinks, but enjoy as-is (although I'm sure it would make a fine mixer as well). I'm glad I got 4 bottles!
