The Ridge Vineyards have a long tradition of winemaking, going all the way back to 1885. The first winery was built out of limestone and carved into the steep mountainside. Today, the Ridge Vineyards have expanded significantly, but they still rely on nature and tradition rather than technology.
Ridge Vineyards "Three Valleys" Red is created from grapes sourced from ten different Sonoma vineyards which were blended together to create a very interesting composition: 65% Zinfandel, 20% Petite Sirah, 9% Carignane, 3% Mataro, 2% Alicante Bouschet and 1% Grenache. Aromas of ripe cherries and exotic spice complement flavors of wildberry, anise and walnut.
