Located at the base of the Blue Mountains, Reynvaan Family Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery founded in 2004 by Mike and Gale Reynvaan. Extremely low yields, block-by-block fermentation and the exploration of terrior differences are fundamental to their winemaking philosophy, which aims to truly capture the character of the Walla Walla Valley.

Reynvaan "The Contender" is a polished, vivid and expressive Syrah which has been blended with a small amount of Marsanne (10%). Vibrant aromas of ripe berry, wildflower, citrus fruit and spice follow through to a well-structured, fruit-forward palate balanced by powerful minerality and savory notes of mushroom, black olive and game. Dusty tannins and well-integrated acidity merge with a hint of honey on the elegant finish.
