Once a popular spirit in the United States, Rye Whiskey was a key ingredient in numerous classic cocktails including The Manhattan, The Whiskey Sour, The Sazerac, and The Old Fashioned. This was changed by Prohibition, and by the time the law was repealed, Rye's popularity had suffered greatly. Redemption Rye is determined to revive this feisty spirit and restore its rightful place in every bar.
By law, a Whiskey must be 51% Rye to be classified as a Rye Whiskey. Redemption's mash bill contains a whopping 95% Rye and has been aged in charred new oak barrels. After being properly aged, it is then bottled at a bold 92 proof, resulting in a smooth, flavorful spirit with prominent notes of spice blended with hints of citrus. Enjoy it neat or in a variety of classic cocktails.
