Hailing from Buffalo Trace Distillery, this limited edition rye was created in honor of Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. - one of the founding fathers of the American whiskey industry. Produced in extremely limited quantities, Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is distilled from a mashbill of rye and malted barley, and is Bottled In Bond at 100 Proof. An enticing nose of dried fruit, black pepper and fresh dill leads to a bold, spicy palate boasting complex layers of caramel, citrus, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla and oak. A touch of orange zest emerges on the long, oak-driven finish.
