Located in Kalispell, Montana, Ridge Distillery is owned and operated by Jules and Joe Legate, a husband and wife team dedicated to producing traditional, handcrafted artisanal spirits. Their small batch spirits are produced using copper alembic stills from Portugal, as well as the finest botanicals available - many of which are grown by the Legates in the Northwest Rocky Mountains.

Ridge Absinthe Verte is produced by distilling grand wormwood, green anise, fennel, coriander, angelica, elecampane, melissa and roman wormwood with high quality grain spirits. The result is a classic French-style absinthe with pronounced herbal and woodsy aromas that lead to layers of marshmallow, anise, dried sage and green, spring forest vegetation. The mid-palate is richly textured with intense herbal flavors that merge with lively notes of black peppercorn on the finish.

This absinthe has such a high attention to detail, and is perhaps one of the best US made. Like Pacifigue, but with stronger wormwood. Recommended most of all DUNY brands.
