Podere Brizio is one of Montalcino's top small producers, located in Sant'Angelo in Colle, an area known for producing long-lived wines of great elegance and finesse. The property was once a part of the larger Pieve di Santa Restituta estate - when proprietor Roberto Bellini sold the property to Angelo Gaja in 1996, he kept this small parcel of land because it felt its quality far exceeded the other holdings.
Podere Brizio Brunello di Montalcino is both powerful and elegant, with an inviting bouquet of ripe cherry, blackberry and plum, laced with chocolate, clove, leather and oak. The silky, mid-weight palate offers beautifully balanced notes of luscious berry fruit, with hints of espresso, sweet spice and black tea lending depth and complexity to the vibrant, lingering finish. Enjoy through 2026.
