Why is all the rum gone

I found that several tastings were necessary to identify all of the flavors in this complex rum. The first impression was a smokiness, followed by the flavor of bananas after swallowing. I was next able to detect the brown sugar hidden under the smokiness, and the barely perceptible hint of coconut behind the bananas. Later on I found that while I held the rum in my mouth and searched passed the smokiness I could taste brown sugar and vanilla. Plantation Grande Reserve is very smooth, full of flavors which are a joy to search for, and at this price a remarkable value.
